The Week Today, Now - 22/05/2023

Bringing you the latest and greatest skateboard news from the last week, including the new WKND full-length, Joey O'Brien for Alien Workshop and New Balance x Poets.

WKND have shown off their strong selection of ams in their new 40-minute full-length, 'Jit', that's full to the brim with hilarious skits, niche easter eggs and plenty of bonkers skating from Tanner Burzinski, Zac Gracie, Shintaro Hongo, Nikolai Piombo and the rest of the lads. Came for the Shintaro clips, stayed for the Brandon Turner switch double flip.

New Balance have teamed up with Gino Iannucci's clothing brand, Poets, for the limited New Balance x Poets Tiago 1010 shoe and to make things even better, we've also been treated to a brief clip of the two GOATs, Tiago and Gino, skating the iconic Long Island manny pads. Doesn't get much better than this.

Tasteful skateboarding probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word 'grom' but Jérôme Sossou is sure to change that with his enlightened approach to spot selection in his new part for ACE Trucks. That last line is absolutely dripping with style.

Tampere's Mañana Skate Shop is back with a new VX video and of course it's packed with a load of typical Finnish wizardry courtesy of Jaakko Ojanen and the rest of the boys. From nollie backside flipping off of rocks or skating a mini-ramp in crocs, there's more than a few NBDs.

Joey O'Brien showcases his unique blend of quick feet and powerful hammers as he charges around Philly in his new Alien Workshop part filmed by partner-in-crime, Chris Mulhern. Pretty bittersweet seeing all those Muni clips now that it looks like the spot's getting shut down. RIP.

Looks like ACE have been making serious investments in the Brazilian scene with a heavy lineup of Brazil's most stylish appearing in their new video, 'Sonhos Lucidos', before Leo Favaro shuts it down.

The Duplex boys are back on their bullshit in the latest episode of 'Low Rent' with all the usual hucking from Jace Detomasso and the rest of the gang, alongside cameos from legendary Floridians like John Dilorenzo and Jamie Foy.

Heavy squad in Copenhagen for the new Always Do What You Should Do offering with the likes of Adam Delarue, Josh Gislingham, Kyle Wilson and Heitor Da Silva floating around a load of Danish spots in the finest of garments.

Get acquainted with New Balance's Aussie contingent in their new Adelaide tour video for some extremely rare footage that isn't filmed in Melbourne. Nice to see some Aussie footage that isn't all the usual Nike SB heads too.
