Cardiff Skateparks
There are a number of skateparks in Cardiff, including two indoor parks and a growing number of outdoor skateparks.
Indoor skateparks in Cardiff, South Wales
There are two indoor parks in Cardiff, and a couple more worth mentioning nearby.
Spit and Sawdust skatepark
We may be biased but we think Spit and Sawdust is the best indoor skatepark in the UK. It's not the biggest, it's not the fanciest, but with a cross-focus on skateboarding and art they have created a unique vibe. It also helps that they have the best food, and the best drinks of any park we have visited! With a monster bowl, a tiny mini ramp, a sick wallride, curb and bank filled street course, and a full-on vert ramp outside, it's got something for absolutely everyone.
They offer the best skate lessons for everyone from kids aged 5 and up to adults who want to give it a try. They also have the 'Sisters of Sawdust' girls only session which has been a massive boost for girls skateboarding in Cardiff. You can also book Spit for private functions and parties, we can highly recommend this, it's awesome and they can cater for you too.

Rampworld skatepark
Rampworld is Cardiff's second skatepark and oh boy is it a biggie! This park is a monster, it has a bowl, a street section, a really fun multi-height mini ramp that starts tiny and ends up with a pretty substantial spined midi, and all kinds of other stuff that as a skateboarder I don't fully understand! Jumps and berms are pretty much used exclusively by BMXers so the skateboarders usually focus on the mini ramps and street section.
It's definitely worth a visit, but with more of a focus on bikes and scooters, it doesn't deliver the skate community connection that Spit and Sawdust does.

Outdoor skateparks in Cardiff, South Wales
Cardiff Skateboard Club works closely with Cardiff Council on the Cardiff Skateboard Amenities Strategy (zip file of PDF 22MB). This is a 20 year plan to improve the provision of skateboard facilities in the capital and to encourage more participation in skateboarding! We can't fault the council for their engagement with us on this topic, they've been pretty sound.
There are many parks around Cardiff but, other than the legendary but now crusty Cardiff Bay Plaza, we think the newest ones are worth visiting first!
Cardiff Bay Plaza - The OG CSC collaboration skatepark! We were involved from the beginning in getting this skatepark designed and we still love it. It's pretty weathered now and gets very little maintenance, but it's still worth a visit.
Llanrumney Skatepark - A pro style park built by Betong and a perfect training ground for anyone with a passion for big rails and long ledges. It also has a pretty decent curb and a low flat bar, it's a fun park.
Maltings Skatepark - This park was the first product of the revived partnership between CSC and the council. Big thanks to everyone who got us involved, it is a very fun park to skate but not built to the highest of standards with some wonky transition and other bits that let it down. It's really fun to skate though, even given its quirks.
Pentwyn Skatepark - This park was delivered in 2025 and might just be the best one yet. It's got a low impact layout with most of the layout being mellow quarters, banks and ledges...but then there's the big over-vert pool coping quarter! This park is loads of fun, definitely worth a closer look!
