Video Daze - Tom Knox Recurring Dream No.15

Dan Bunn

Tom Knox adds to his already incredible year with yet another jaw-dropping Atlantic Drift part, this time weaving impeccable lines around Palma's plaza before heading home to unleash havoc. Whatever happens, he'll always be our Skater of the Year.

As SOTY Season draws in and the world's best skaters unleash a torrent of mind-boggling footage in the hopes of taking the coveted Thrasher Skater of the Year trophy, there's no better time to be a skateboarder - especially with the promise of Christmas boozing just around the corner too. We've already had hectic parts from the likes of Pedro Delfino and Jack O'Grady who've put their lives on the line for glory but now the UK's very own Tom Knox has thrown his hat into the ring with something a little bit more thoughtful - although Tom can still give them a run for their money on the gnarliness front too.

Teaming up once again with partner-in-crime, Jake Harris, the new Atlantic Drift 'Tom Knox Recurring Dream No.15' takes the tried-and-tested Atlantic Drift formula and cranks it up to 11 with the usual top-tier filming, editing and song selection from Jake going hand-in-hand with some of Tom's most ludicrous skating we've ever seen. Whether he's absolutely decimating the plaza in Palma, Mallorca or rattling off NBDs like they're going out of fashion at home in the UK, Tom Knox has always been at the absolute pinnacle of trick selection but he's fully opened his third eye for this one.

As an added treat for long-time fans, the video's loaded up with return visits to familiar spots from some of his older parts, including as far back as his 'Square One' part from 2009 and seminal 'Eleventh Hour' part from 2013, and as recent as his 'New Balance Tom Knox 600' part from just a few months ago. As you can probably guess from the title, this whole theme of 'Recurring' spots is pretty central to the video and its played on throughout with little 'Deja Vu' Easter eggs for the eagle-eyed viewer to pick up on.

Tom Knox has had an absolutely bonkers year after going pro for Krooked; receiving his first ever pro shoe for New Balance Numeric, the Tom Knox 600; landing himself on the cover of Thrasher; and releasing 4 bangin' parts (so far...), so it's pretty safe to say he's our pick for Thrasher's Skater of the Year. Come on mate, bring it home for Ol' Blighty! In anticipation of his inevitable SOTY win, we highly recommend picking up a pair of his new pro shoes before they all sell out. We promise they'll make you skate like him...

That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to browse the full range of New Balance Numeric skate shoes and buy now from CSC. Or, watch more of the best skate videos on the CSC Blog. Safe.
