The Week Today, Now - 14/08/2023
Bringing you the latest and greatest skateboard news from the last week, including the new Lakai full-length, another Johnny Wilson banger and a double serving of Aussie goodness.
Well fuck me. Johnny Wilson's done it again, coming through with what's most likely gonna be the video of the year thanks to its absolutely stacked lineup featuring everyone you hope to see in a video, including Max Palmer, Cyrus Bennett, Antonio Durao, Kevin Bradley, Nik Stain and many, many more. This is the Antonio Durao footage we've all been waiting for; the man is on a whole other plane of existence.
Lakai are back with an absolute belter of a full-length featuring top-tier parts from the whole squad, including Griffin Gass, Simon Bannerot, Rick McCrank and more. Nice to see Lakai are still staying true to full length full-lengths but a 40 minute runtime is almost intimidating in this day and age. Can someone edit it into reels so I can actually watch it?
The latest Quasi full-length left you hungry for more? Lucky for you we've got 12 minutes of remixed Quasi goodness courtesy of Hardest Good to appease your hunger. We've also got the limited Quasi 'Simulation' book for you to sink your teeth into if you're the literary type too.
Catch all your favourite Pass~Port legends taking their Southern Hemisphere steeze to the streets of LA and Ventura in their new edit, 'Trinket', featuring Matlok Bennett-Jones, Josh Pall, Jack O'Grady and more. We've also got some of their latest decks in which are sure to imbue you with the team's mystical powers if you're in need of a power-up.
More goodness from Down Under this week, Pass~Port's sister company, Hoddle, have also treated us to a new edit dedicated to Tully West featuring Digby Luxton, Shaun Paul, Raphael Langslow and the rest of the lads. Big fan of the fact they pay respect to the indigenous people of Australia too!
Extremely powerful new collab from Venture and Shake Junt; witness Nikolai Piombo, Beagle, Shane Heyl, Tanner Burzinski, John Dilo and a whole bunch of other legends putting it down with a suitably gangsta soundtrack.
Remind yourself that it is actually meant to be summer with the latest feel good edit from Cardiff's answer to Frog. Keep up the good work lads!
The Sag God, TJ Rogers, is back with a fresh part celebrating his new signature model for eS, the Evant, delivering all the powerful stunts and trouser adjustment you expect from this Canadian GOAT.
Exceedingly tasteful skateboarding from Jake Cortez in his new 'JB/C' part, complimented perfectly by a Hum soundtrack. This is a textbook Free Skate Mag offering.
That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to buy the latest clothing and skateboard decks from CSC. Or, check out more of the latest news, videos, and product reviews on the CSC Blog. Safe.
