Save The Date - Spit and Sawdust's 9th Birthday Party

Another year, another Spit birthday party and this one's guaranteed to be a banger! Complete with wood-fired pizza, open mic and free skating for everyone, come down on April 16th to celebrate Spit and Sawdust's 9th birthday in style!

It's that time of year again and Spit and Sawdust are once again celebrating their birthday, marking their 9th year of being the best skatepark in the world! As always they've planned out a fun-filled day of skateboarding-related shenanigans for us all to enjoy alongside live music, wood-fired pizzas and some green-fingered goodness to fit the springtime garden party theme.

On Sunday 16th April, Spit and Sawdust will be firing up the pizza oven and opening up the park for everyone to skate for a wholesome garden party to celebrate their 9th birthday. They'll be slingin' wood-fired pizzas, delicious dogs and sumptuous spritzes from noon til' 7pm alongside a load of spiritually nourishing attractions like a free tree giveaway, a plant sale, garden stalls and the unveiling of their new billboard commission with artwork by Philippa Brown - but don't worry, there should be lager available too.

In charge of the entertainment side of things, Spit have drafted in Big Bear Social Club who'll be lining up some of the finest musicians Cardiff has to offer for a good ol' fashioned hootenanny. That's not all though, they'll also be opening the stage up to everyone else for a fun-filled open mic session to give everyone a chance to get involved in the action.

Unfortunately you do have to sign up beforehand to make sure everyone gets their chance to get involved, so sadly you won't be able to spontaneously jump on stage after a few beers, although that's probably for the best.
