Seeing as they've been in the game since 1978, it's no surprise that Independent make some of the best skateboard trucks on the market. Given their long history of producing top-tier trucks, it makes sense that Independent should draw upon their impeccable lineage and combine some of their most beloved previous models with their new and improved knowledge and modern manufacturing processes.

Well, luckily for us, that's exactly what they've done with the updated version of their classic Stage 4! Whether you remember them from 'back in the day' or you're looking to experience a bit of #SkateHistory, the new Indy Stage 4 improves upon one of Independent's most beloved trucks and brings this classic design into the modern age with added durability thanks to the use of modern materials and construction processes.

For those who aren't familiar, the Independent Stage 4 Trucks were first released in 1986, when street skating was in its early days with legends like Natas Kaupas and Christian Hosoi still ruling the roost. It's also the year when Neil Blender did the greatest contest run ever at Street Style in Tempe, Arizona, so you know it was a pretty incredible year for skating. Known for their single wing hanger design and superior turning, the Indy Stage 4 quickly became one of the most popular trucks on the market.

Now, almost 40 years later (apologies if that makes you feel old) the Indy Stage 4s are back and better than ever with the same, beloved design backed up by modern construction tekkers. The new Independent Stage 4 Trucks feature the classic single wing hanger design with a universal 6-hole baseplate to suit any setup. This time-honoured geometry offers a clean aesthetic and smooth, responsive turning that makes pumping round a bowl an absolute dream.

What's more, the updated 90a Original Cushions (now with an added Independent Bar logo for extra style points) are constructed and sized for the perfect rebound to guarantee extra snappy turning, while the height of 55mm height ensures optimal performance and clearance for wheels up to 56mm.

Constructed using modern materials and processes - like the lightweight aluminium hanger and baseplate treated to T6 standards for strength, durability and grind feel, alongside the Chromoly steel axle providing the highest possible quality and durability - the new Indy Stage 4s are the perfect blend of past and present, guaranteed to keep you grinding further for longer.

That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to browse the full range of Independent Trucks and buy now from CSC. Or, find out more about the latest skate product on the CSC Blog. Safe.
