Product Spotlight - Hockey Skateboards Q1 2022

We've got even more new decks in store this week with Hockey's first collection of 2022, featuring tasty new graphics for all your favourite pros as well as some hard new soft goods.

As usual, Hockey's latest collection of decks features their unique multi-media approach with many of the graphics combining a mixture of illustrations, embossed logos, and photographs to create a multi-layered image, like their newest pro, Caleb Barnett's, 'Little Rock' deck or Andrew Allen's 'HP Synthetic' deck, both available in 8.5".

Of course, most of the decks have an eerie or spooky feel to them, in line with Hockey's love of old-school horror aesthetics, like Nik Stain's 'Whisper' deck (I mean even the name sounds spooky) which depicts a winter-y scene that looks like it could be from the Chernobyl sniper level from COD: Modern Warfare. It even features a classic Hockey 'Eyes Without A Face' mascot in the form of the weird faceless guy. 

One of the most unique boards from the collection has to be Donovon Piscopo's 'Phantom' deck, which features the 'Phantom' graphic with a red background and a 'go faster stripe' down the middle, which is something you don't really see too much but it definitely helps stand out from the rest of Hockey's mostly black-and-white decks. You can even match the stripe with your grip for maximum speed.

If woodstains are your thing, John Fitzgerald's 'Battered Faith' deck has got you covered with the blue woodstain and central graphic giving the deck a timeless aesthetic. The graphic features a pretty creepy image of a church with a beat-up looking guy lying on a bed, hence the name 'Battered Faith', along with Hockey's signature smashed glass logo for a clean and simple look that also stands out from the other painted decks in the drop.

As well as the new range of decks, a couple of the graphics are also available as tees. The 'Phantom' graphic and 'Whisper' graphic both get the T-shirt treatment, with the 'Phantom' tee in black and the 'Whisper' tee in white, so you can rep the graphics if you don't wanna splash out on a deck or just double down and buy both if you're a baller.
