CSC Spot Bounty - Red Banks

The CSC Spot Bounty is back and this time we're heading down the Bay to lay siege to one of Cardiff's most iconic spots: Red Banks. There's eternal glory and some quality prizes on the line so round up your homies and get filming!

Half-term's here once again which means only one thing: another CSC Spot Bounty! This time our sights are set on a truly legendary Cardiff spot, giving you the chance to carve your name into the annals of history as well as winning some dope prizes. County Hall, AKA Red Banks, is a certified OG spot that's been skated for years, appearing in classic videos like 'Pritchard vs Dainton', 'Four Wheel Dragons', 'NOW: That's What I Call Skateboarding' and countless others - and now it's your turn to make your mark on it! 

To enter, all you have to do is head on down to Red Banks and film your best trick. Then, just post your clips on Instagram (remember it's got to be a hardpost, not a story post, as otherwise it'll disappear) and tag @cardiffskateboardclub and #cscspotbounty for your chance to win. As always, we've got a load of bangin' prizes up for grabs on top of the intense emotional and spiritual satisfaction you'll attain by landing a trick on this timeless spot. You've got until Monday 5th June to enter, so get down there and get filming!

To find the spot, you can simply search County Hall in Google Maps and it should give you directions straight there. The banks are found on the Eastern side of the building next to the water. It's easily accessible either from Cardiff Bay train station, Lloyd George avenue or down the little path next to the water which will take you straight to the banks. But here's the address anyway, just in case:

The possibilities at Redbanks are endless with stairs, a rail, several different banks, and even some hips if you don't mind doing a bit of DIY, which are all fair game for the Spot Bounty; there's countless different ways you can skate this spot so get those creative juices flowing! We're gonna be posting some of our favourite Red Banks clips on our Instagram over the next few weeks for some extra inspiration so be sure to keep your eyes peeled to see what's been done.
