Best Skate Brands 2026 | Our Top Picks!

Overwhelmed by all the different brands? Looking to impress your mates? Whatever your reasons, we've got you covered with what we think are some of the best skate brands of 2026.

Best Skate Brands 2026

For better or for worse, one thing that we have an abundance of it in the modern age is choice (or at least the illusion of it). Whether it's food, films, music, shopping or almost anything else, we've always got a near-infinite amount of it at our fingertips and skateboarding is no different. If looking through skate brands is starting to feel like sifting through all the slop on the streaming platforms to find something half-decent to watch then you're in luck as we're here to narrow things down slightly with some of our favourite skate brands of the current meta. From new brands that we're excited to see more of, like Village PM, to more established brands that are taking things to new heights, like Carpet Company; there's plenty to be excited about in skating right now (even if there's also plenty to cringe at) and these are just a few of the brands we think are doing it the best. Have a read below and let us know in the comments if there's anyone else you think should be on the list!

Village PM

We're always hyped to see people doing things differently and I don't think there's anyone who's currently doing things quite as differently as Village PM. Founded by three dudes with some seriously impressive credentials in the outdoor footwear game, these guys are bringing that same level of knowledge and innovation into skateboarding with their truly one-of-a-kind shoes. We absolutely loved the Village PM 1PM skate shoes when we tested them out, with their unique design offering incredible boardfeel, flick and durability - while also doubling up as a good conversation piece as pretty much everyone who sees them for the first time is guaranteed to ask you about them.

Village PM 1PM Skate Shoes

They've been making pretty big waves in the scene since they launched last year and they're showing no signs of losing momentum as they welcome more legends to the team (with Oscar Safstrom joining the squad most recently), expand their range, and keep releasing high-quality videos at a very respectable rate. If you ask us, Village PM are a much-needed breath of fresh air in the oft-stagnant skate industry and we hope they're here to stay. We highly recommend you get on the hype early before everyone else clocks on, and with the new Village PM 2PM set to launch in their upcoming Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, there's about to be even more to get excited about!

Living Proof Magazine

Ok I'm not entirely sure if Living Proof counts as a skate brand but they're definitely skate-adjacent (hence why we stock them) having featured many a legend among their hallowed pages, so we'll give them a pass. Possibly due to the gradual dumbing down of society and commodification of culture, it seems like people are starting to appreciate physical media a bit more (with even CDs appearing to make a bit of a comeback) and magazines and books are no exception. There seems to be a bit of a magazine renaissance going on in skating right now with mags like Closer Magazine putting a lot of effort into providing us with high-quality reading material, but our personal favourite has to be Living Proof - and it seems like a lot of people agree as they're never on the shelves for long.

Living Proof Magazine Issue 9 Andrew Reynolds Cover

Originally starting out as a podcast, Living Proof NYC have made a name for themselves covering street culture in all its forms, from graffiti and skateboarding to music and fashion. Of course this means they've teamed up with a wide variety of legends from all these different niches, with covers starring Andrew Reynolds, Earl Sweatshirt, Barrington Levy, 10FOOT and countless others. Alongside the mag they've also teamed up with a wide range of photographers to serve up incredible photo books touching upon an even broader range of topics, including 'The Sopranos', the French banlieues, New York Bike Life culture and Tompkins Square Park. If variety is the spice of life then it doesn't get much spicier than Living Proof!

Asics

Another shoe brand that's worth keeping an eye on, Asics have long been celebrated for their high-quality footwear but they've only recently expanded into skateboarding with their Asics Skateboarding line launching in 2024. While other corporate shoe brands attempting to enter the skate industry have thrown their financial weight around by buying out as many big names as they can, Asics have gone down a slightly different route by enlisting a carefully curated team of cult favourites like Dougie George, Victor Campillo, Akwasi Owusu, Jaakko Ojanen, Gino Iannucci and more. Likewise, they've also put similar care and consideration into their video offerings, recruiting the one-and-only Jacob Harris to film and edit their debut full-length, 'A Guided Tour', which of course means it's an absolute delight to behold. If you ask us, it seems like Asics are doing it for the culture rather than just the coin (and their recently announced collab with the Late Nite Stars crew seems to further confirm this hypothesis) but either way we're looking forward to seeing more from them and hopefully trying out their shoes for ourselves once they're more readily available in the UK.

Carpet Company

Although Carpet Company aren't exactly new to the game compared to something like Village PM, they are a brand that just seem to get better and better with each drop. Born out of Baltimore by brothers Ayman and Osama Abdeldayem, Carpet Company are well known for their uniquely innovative approach to design having cooked up some of the most bonkers creations skateboarding has ever seen, including a 1000GSM Hoodie and Heat Reactive Rain Jackets. Couple this with their DIY ethos, often personally hand-screening much of their product; a slew of incredible guest pro decks for each season, featuring legends like Kareem Campbell, Eric Koston and countless others; not to mention a string of amazing collabs, and there's no doubt that Carpet Company are one of the most exciting skate brands in the game right now. Plus, they've just opened their first ever bricks-and-mortar store in Baltimore (and announced a new collab with Salomon...) so it looks like things are only going to keep getting better!

Butter Goods

Much like Carpet Company, Butter Goods have been knockin' about for a while now, with the brand first starting out all the way back in 2008 - and the fact they've lasted so long pretty much tells you all you need to know. Like the finest Australian Shiraz, Butter have aged beautifully over the years, developing their own distinctive style and growing into a global powerhouse. It seems like they've really hit their stride in recent years with a really strong team, featuring the likes of Dougie George, Chris Athans, Shaun Paul, Jacopo Carozzi and more, which of course has meant that we've been treated to some particularly bangin' video output recently.

Just like their team, Butter Goods' selection of product has also grown to become pretty formidable over the years with their linesheets now being closer in size to an Argos catalogue than your average skate brand, offering up a mind-boggling array of premium clothing and one-of-a-kind cut-and-sew garments. However, what has made Butter Goods even more exciting has been their incredible taste in collabs, with the brand teaming up with a wide variety of all-time greats like Disney, Peanuts, Miles Davis and Umbro. There aren't many brands that can get us excited about collabs (Primitive, we're looking at you...) but we're always hyped to see what Butter Goods have been cooking up and if they're recent run of collabs is anything to go by - with the Butter Goods x Madlib and Butter Goods x Daniel Johnston collabs both going down an absolute treat - then things are only going to keep getting better (which is sadly something you don't hear very much in this day-and-age).

Yardsale

Last but not least, no list of our favourite brands would be complete without mentioning one of the UK's absolute finest: Yardsale. Another brand that seems to have been enjoying an infinite run of good form, Yardsale have been dropping non-stop bangers, both in the product and video departments, since they launched back in 2012 but their relevance seems to have shot up even further in recent years. They've always been one of the more fashion-forward brands in skating, with their unique Y2K aesthetic setting them apart from most other brands, and now it seems like the trends have caught up with them as pieces that have long-been staples of their lineup, like Plaid Shorts, Zip Hoods, Knitwear and straighter leg Jeans, are getting more and more popular. Plus, they're one of few skate brands which take a strong political stance, using their platform to raise funds and awareness for those suffering in Palestine, which just makes the brand even more worthy of your support. They even posted a picture of supermodel Bella Hadid wearing one of their collab tees with charity organisation Sa7ten in case you don't believe the hype is real. If you're still sleeping on Yardsale this is your final reminder to stop blowing it!
