Short Straw

Short Straw is a new UK skate brand founded in 2024 by a trifecta of certified legends: Fraser Doughty, Izzy Almond and Josh Hallett. Based out of Leeds, Short Straw are bringing that signature Yorkshire friendliness to the masses with their range of affordable decks and inclusive clothing.

One of the reasons they started the brand was to help hook up their mates who needed board sponsors so of course the Short Straw team features a strong selection of Northern talent, including Albie Edmonds, Izzy Almond, Connie Gascoigne and Paul Watson, to help show some love to their local scene.

What really sets Short Straw apart however is their unique selection of goods, ranging from top-quality, affordable decks for only £55 as well as a selection of premium, heavyweight clothing in both a standard men's fit and a shorter, boxy ENBY fit to suit a wider range of genders.
