The eager skate consumers among you may have already been hearing whispers of an upcoming Tom Knox pro shoe from New Balance and it looks like the cat's starting to poke its head out the bag as we've finally been given a brief glimpse of the shoe in action. Landing himself on the cover of the December issue of Thrasher Magazine, Tom Knox can be seen putting his new shoe through their paces in his latest display of technical precision; so join us as we use this as an excuse to take a closer look at Tom Knox's latest Thrasher cover and his first ever pro shoe: the New Balance Tom Knox 600 skate shoe!
Coming in hot with a butt-clenching, thread-the-needle ollie down a narrow stairset shot by Jake Darwen for the cover of Thrasher's December issue, we've been given a glimpse of the Tom Knox 600 in action, performing an absolutely textbook Tom Knox stunt. While the photo itself may not give too much away we've also been treated to a behind-the-scenes edit of the cover which shows off the full extent of this precarious precision ollie as well as offering some lovely up-close angles of the New Balance Tom Knox 600 shoes.
In the video, Tom can be seen wearing his new Tom Knox 600 signature shoe in a lovely White / Gum colourway as he weaves together one of his signature quick-footed lines before taking the plunge down the corridor of doom. The sole of the Tom Knox 600 is reminiscent of the shop favourite New Balance 288S with a cupsole construction featuring New Balance's signature NDurance rubber around the toe and heel with a full-length FuelCell midsole to ensure maximum comfort and spring.
The upper of the New Balance Numeric Tom Knox 600 features a multi-panelled construction with a mixture of leather or suede and mesh to combine durability with breathability. All of these panels are reinforced with double-stitched seams to further boost durability while the toe features an reinforced FantomFit toe-panel to provide a secure fit and an extra layer of defense against wear.
