Founded in 2007 by Joey Tershay, Ace Trucks take the classic Independent Stage III truck as inspiration, in order to offer a truck that emphasises manoeuvrability, as well as a unique look and feel. While Ace trucks have long been a staple among pool skaters, they're starting to gain popularity with street skaters due to their low weight, good durability, and responsiveness - they're the truck of choice for CSC's very own PJ, so they must be good.
What makes Ace unique is the fact that they specialise in producing trucks that are designed to be ridden loose straight out the box - something which has been previously unheard of in the industry. So if you're a Max Palmer fan looking for that perfect wobble, Ace should be your truck of choice. But don't worry, you can still tighten them up if you'd rather.
Ace currently offer two different styles of truck, the Classic and the AF1, with the AF1 boasting a stronger construction (arguably the strongest on the market) as well as upgraded bushings and washers for long-lasting turning performance. The AF1s also come with a rethreading axle nuts to prevent thread stripping as well as a free rethreading die if you need to try salvage those axels. What more could you want?
The Ace Trucks team continues to improve as more and more pros join the revolution including Max Palmer, Brian Anderson, Shin Sanbongi, Nick Boserio, Mike Arnold, Sage Elsesser, John Cardiel and countless others. Needless to say their videos are well worth a watch.
