Launched on December 1st 2018 by founder Philip Halton, Goblin is a skate mag from our Celtic brethren over in Ireland. In fact, it's the first Irish skate magazine in over 10 years so what they're doing is pretty important. Now on their fourth issue, this annual skate mag has been improving year on year with bangin' interviews and a strong aesthetic.
Much like the good homies at Vague, Goblin takes a more holistic approach to the skate mag format, exploring the interconnected forms of creativity which make up skateboarding. By incorporating the work of different artists, photographers, filmers, musicians in their long term projects, Goblin aims to show the benefits of skating's multiple art forms and how it can help young people deal with their mental and physical health by helping them connect with communities and become engaged in their interests.
In this issue, expect a load of really interesting interviews with a load of people working hard behind-the-scenes in all corners of skating, like the good homie Tom Mangham from Workshop Distribution and Toby Thorpe from Bristol's ReRun Streetwear, as well as a tribute to Irish legend, Bruce 'The Ox' Kelliher, who tragically passed away at the start of this year.
That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to buy the latest Goblin skateboard magazine from CSC. Or, find out more about the latest skate product on the CSC Blog. Safe.
