Skateboard hardware is a pretty loose term that refers to any parts that aren't the deck, wheels, trucks, or bearings - such as bolts, risers, wax, bushings, rails, and more.

Whilst some hardware isn't essential - like rails and risers - you'll find it pretty hard to set up a skateboard without bolts and a skate tool, so don't neglect your hardware.
