Another week, another new limited edition skate shop collab from New Balance Numeric and this time they've ventured further afield than ever before as they link up with Hong Kong-based skate and streetwear shop, 8Five2, for a fresh take on the best-selling 480. Offering up a unique new Olive / Brown colourway, the New Balance Numeric x 8Five2 480 EFT is yet another top quality addition to the 480 range that you really don't want to miss. First opening their doors back in 1999, 8Five2 was founded in the hopes of becoming Hong Kong's first authentic street fashion/skate shop and has subsequently helped introduce a load of top-quality brands, from unknown or underground labels to legendary international brands that had previously not been distributed in Hong Kong. They've already teamed up with New Balance Numeric back in 2018 when they reimagined the iconic 574 with their unique 'Codebreaker' model, so they're no strangers to making bangin' shoes.

Making their triumphant return with their second New Balance Numeric collab colourway, 8Five2 have opted to put their own spin on one of the most popular NB# models of the current age: the New Balance Numeric 480. Known for its iconic basketball-inspired silhouette, the 480 is without a doubt one of the most popular shoes on the market right now and 8Five2 have made it their own with a bangin' Olive / Brown colourway, featuring a mixture of Olive, Brown and Tan panels as a tribute to their previous 574 Codebreaker colourway.

Despite the updated look, the New Balance Numeric x 8Five2 480 EFT features the same signature construction you know and love. For the upper, the 480 EFT features a mixture of suede and leather panels for optimum durability and flick, with a perforated toe-box for extra durability and a suede panel around the toe for an extra layer of protection. Likewise, the sole is equally kitted out with a premium cupsole construction for long-lasting support and impact protection, backed up by a full-length FuelCell midsole and removable Abzorb insole for even more cushioning without sacrificing boardfeel. There's a reason 480s are so popular and it's not just because they look like a Dunk.
