What About Us?! | Video Daze

Been thinking that skateboarding needs more mongo pushing? No? Us neither, but apparently Pirate Man has as he shines a light on the world's most questionable method of propulsion in his latest video: What About Us?

Adding to his already extensive repertoire of conceptual skate videos, Pirate Man has been back behind the lens working hard on another absolutely bonkers new video for you to enjoy! Filmed over three years while managing his other swashbuckling duties as captain of the SS Spit & Sawdust, 'What About Us?!' once again proves that skateboarding is best when it's not taken too seriously as Christian celebrates one of skating's longest-running controversies: the mongo push.

Putting his wide-ranging connections to good use (or abuse, depending on your outlook), 'What About Us?!' features an all-star cast which far outshines the video's less-than-beloved subject matter, with questionable pushing from the likes of Dale Starkie, Dylan Hughes, Chris Jones, Rancid Harry, Dave Mackey and many, many more. Some personal highlights include Welsh Tommy's NBD fakie mongo push, Spit and Sawdust's very own Guto Williams corrupting the youth and even our Gaffa showing off one of his custom grip jobs.

As if cajoling some of the UK's most respected skaters into tarnishing their pushing reputations wasn't enough, Pirate Man also uses the wonders of practical effects (i.e. a leaf blower) to symbolise how the winds of change can be felt buffeting the streets of the UK. I'm not sure about you but I don't think I'm quite ready for that amount of change, think I might just stay inside and wait out the storm...
