Video Daze - Hockey X

The Hockey Skateboards crew are back and they mean business, coming through with a heavy 20-minute banger to spice up your week. If this doesn't make you wanna spend £85 on one of their decks then I dunno what will.

After our Hockey premiere on Tuesday (big up everyone who came down!), their latest video is now up online in all it's glory. It's been a fair few years since we've had a new Hockey video but the boys have obviously been putting in the work for their latest offering, 'HOCKEY X'. Not really sure what happened to HOCKEY IV through IX though, guess that doesn't sound as cool.

In true Hockey fashion, 'HOCKEY X' is heavily stylised with a load of bizarre clips scattered throughout. From weird screaming cats to Master Chief in the streets, Hockey's tasteful selection of weird imagery works hand in hand with the obscure soundtrack to cultivate their masterfully edgy aesthetic. Bonus points if you can recognise some of their board graphics which make an appearance.

Some personal highlights include Donovon Piscopo establishing his own discipline of curb-cut-to-bin bonking; Nik Stain being Nik Stain; John Fitzgerald turning himself into a swamp monster; Ben Kadow continuing to be a meme; Joseph Campos doing a shifty out of a 50-50; and Kevin Rodrigues coming through with a Rob Welsh tribute. Of course Diego's parts an absolute barn burner too, the man knows how to keep things interesting.
