Top 5 Parts with Jack Branch
CSC's Top 5 Parts are making their long-awaited return with none other than our reigning CSC Skater of the Year, the undisputed King of Ashmore Skatepark and all-round top bloke: Jack Branch!
After a triumphant 2022, we had to get our CSC Skater of the Year in for a swift Top 5. As to be expected from the reigning SOTY, Jack's taste in videos is just as good as his skating and he's picked nothing but bangers with a load of all-time greats making the list. This is a comprehensive lesson on the history of style. Safe Jack!
Brent Atchley - 'Elementality' (2005)
My most watched part growing up. I used to come home from school every day chuck the DVD in to watch Brent's part, then hit my local metal ramps with that smooth style fresh in mind.
Antwuan Dixon - 'Baker Has A Deathwish' (2008)
The effortless approach to the streets, big or small, those arms rarely go above the shoulders! No fake steez here.
Nick Trapasso - 'Suffer The Joy' (2006)
The way he just flops around doing his thing at a very high standard like it’s nothing, a pleasure to watch.
Grant Patterson - 'What If?'
G’d out bangers with a clean style and tune to match, check out yesterdays future too for a Canadian full-length featuring all the triple XL G’s of the era.
Darrell Stanton - 'Free Your Mind' (2003)
A fine blend of loose style and big spots, casually killing it while looking like he’s made of rubber. Also enjoyed the theme of this vid with the “FREEDOM CAB Co.” Skits, something different is always good. (just seen this vid is 20 years old!)
Honourable Mention
Lewis Marnell - 'Nothing But The Truth'
Bringing the good vibes and a ridiculously thick trick book, way ahead of his time and always seemed to be having fun with it. RIP to the legendary Lewis Marnell.
That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to browse the latest skate product and buy now from CSC. Or, check out more Top 5's on the CSC Blog. Safe.
