CSC SOTY 2022 - The Results
First up, we wanna say a big shoutout to everyone who voted! We were absolutely blown away by the number of responses we got with over 800 people casting their votes, which is pretty mental for what started out as a bit of a joke. We had some of the biggest legends from the Welsh scene, like Jake Collins, Sam Pulley and Welsh Tommy, going head to head with child prodigies like Gabe Gorman, Jacob Price and Ru and Jo Richards. But, as we all know, there can be only one winner, and this time it was the one and only Jack Branch!
In a complete landslide victory, Jack swept over a quarter of the total responses with a whopping 243 votes, and we couldn't be more stoked! Jack's had an absolutely insane year: winning the CSC Spot Bounty with his hand in a cast; coming second in the CSC Plaza Comp; putting out Mark Suciu levels of footage with mindblowing parts in Rhys Tweek's 'Street Code' video and the upcoming Papa Mio's Hardware full-length (which you should definitely take the time to watch as soon as it's up); as well as killing it in his local stomping ground, Ashmore Skatepark, on a daily basis.
As if this wasn't enough, Jack even went full Gustav mode and filmed and edited his own 20-minute banger, 'Enjoying Bridgend', which he of course has a load of hectic clips in. While the skating's next level, the most impressive part is the fact that he's managed to make some pretty dubious spots look pretty good - so don't be surprised if you go down to Porthcawl seafront and it's not the skateboarder's paradise you thought it was. To top it all off, Jack also turned 30 this year which makes it all that bit more impressive and goes to show that age is just a number. Congrats Jack! You're an inspiration to us all.
That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to buy the latest skateboard decks, clothing, shoes and more from CSC. Or, check out more of the latest news, videos, and product reviews on the CSC Blog. Safe.
