Sour Solution Spring 26 + Gustav Rumours?!

Find out what the Sour Solution lads have been cooking up as we take a look at their brand new video and their new Spring collection while also discussing the rumours that Gustav may have parted with the brand...

The last couple of weeks have been pretty big for the Sour Solution gang as they dropped their most recent video, '3,3', showcasing a load of new talent on the squad as well as Fritte Soderstrom taking over filming duties. Of course, they've been quick to follow this up with their new Spring collection, striking while the iron's hot with a load of premium decks and clothing. But it's not all been good news as there are some troubling rumours circulating regarding Gustav's place on the team... Have a read below to find out more as we discuss their newest video offering, their latest batch of decks and clothing, and what the hell's been going on with Gustav!

Starting things off with their new video, the name '3,3' - which translates to 3.3 in British numbers because Europeans are weird and use commas instead of decimal points - references the fact that it's only 'a third of a video' at just over 11 minutes long (and 3.3 is a third of 10 in case you're not too hot at maths). But if you want to go full Bobby Puleo numerology on it, the emphasis on the number 3 also holds significance as the video introduces a trio of new faces to the team: Oscar Safström, Alex Elfving and Massimo Cristofoletti, who all kill it alongside all your usual faves like Martin Sandberg, Vincent Huhta, Barney Page and the rest of the gang. That's definitely more than enough number talk for one day though, you know that Sour videos never miss and with Fritte behind the lens this might just be their best-looking one yet.

Alongside the new video, Sour have also treated us to a load of bangin' new clobber with a wide range of decks and clothing. On the hardware side of things, we've got new pro decks for Martin Sandberg and Albert Nyberg, which pay tribute to retro video games with the 'Snake' and 'Crack Man' graphics, as well as the cute-but-cursed Barney Page 'Pixies' Deck and 'Sourglass' Twin-Tail Team Decks. On the apparel side, we've got the timeless 'Army' T-shirts alongside a load of fresh graphic tees like the Joy Division-inspired 'Division' Tee, the 411-themed 'TV' Tee and the bangin' 'Goath' T-Shirt for the moshers. What's more, they've also teamed up with the legends at Skate Muzik for the incredible Sour x Skate Muzik 'Sour Sucks' and 'Listen to ABBA' T-shirts, which both do exactly what they say on the tin. And if all that's not enough we've also got their tasteful Baggy Chinos and Loose Jeans to level up your trou game.

Has Gustav Tonnesen Left Sour?

If you're not chronically online enough to have seen all the SLAP messageboards speculation (congratulations for touching grass!), you may not be aware that there are rumours floating around that one of Sour's biggest legends may have parted ways with the brand. While the rumours may just be that, astute skateboard sleuths have noticed that Gustav has removed Sour from his Instagram bio which doesn't bode well when paired with his recent post showing a blank deck - although the Sour Solution lads are no stranger to a wind-up so it's highly possible that they've seen the speculation and are just trying to send SLAP into overdrive.

To make things more confusing, you may have noticed that he does actually have some clips in their recent '3,3' video while, on the other hand, there doesn't seem to be a Gustav pro deck in this latest collection. Further adding to the mystery, Free Skate Mag recently posted their 'Find A Way' article by Bo Rickardsson which goes into some of the troubles Sour (and most other skate brands) are facing in this day-and-age, which only briefly mentions Gustav having 'tamed Mark Gonzales as his sidekick' - but I guess a brief mention is better than no mention, right? Sadly, we can't don't really have any answers for you but we thought we'd add further fuel to the fire because you just can't beat a bit of gossip. What do you reckon? Has Gustav jumped ship? Is he just winding everyone up? Or is he graciously stepping out of the limelight having effectively completed skateboarding? Let us know in the comments!

That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to browse the full range of Sour Solution decks and clothing and buy now from CSC. Or, find out more about the latest skate product on the CSC Blog. Safe.
