As if the lovely people from Jenkem Magazine don't already supply the world with enough premium skateboarding content, they've just treated us to yet another full-length book offering that's jam-packed with some of the best quality skate-nerdery you'll ever insert into your brainhole. After the success of their previous books (Jenkem Vol. 1 and Jenkem Vol. 2), Jenkem Vol. 3 completes the trilogy with some of their best content yet.
Complete with over 250 pages of new, unseen, book-only content in a luxurious hardback format, Jenkem Volume 3 features interviews, photo-essays, long-reads, deep-dives and so much more that, for whatever reason, has never made it's way into the public sphere... until now. For the final book in their trilogy, Jenkem have been busy grafting away on those most elusive stories that they've always hoped to tell but have never quite been able to make work, whether due to people's naturally evasive characters or 'endless games of phone tag', so expect to see some holy grail interviews...
Jenkem Vol. 3 is absolutely packed with skateboarding legends both on and off the board. Interviews range from all-time greats like Alexis Sablone and Jake Johnson to legendary artists and photographers like Greg Hunt talking about the rise of Dylan Rieder and Mark McKee discussing some of his best skateboard graphics, as well as some more niche interviews with cult favourites like Lurker Lou (that guy who skates rocks) and probably a fair few people you haven't even heard of.
It's not all interviews though, there's also a wide range of long-form features from the whimsical to the thought-provoking, including 'A Visual History of Skate Pants' and the story of the first ever skate shop. There's even a collection of Tom Penny stories in comic book form with artwork by Jon Horner, and of course there's a fair few pictures too.
Honestly, as avid skate nerds ourselves, we were blown away by some of the stuff in here and we've only briefly flicked through. We all get enough shit for free these days, buy a book and support these legends so they can keep doing what they do!
That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to browse the full range of skateboard books and grab yourself a copy of Jenkem Volume 3. Or, check out more of the latest news, videos, and product reviews on the CSC Blog. Safe.
