Sticking to their old-school, chunky shoe heritage, DC Shoes have come through with a bangin' new pro model for 90s revivalist, John Shanahan, which is guaranteed to take you back to the good ol' days when shoes were big and pants were even bigger. Combining the timeless 90s aesthetic with all the latest DC tech, the new DC JS1 Skate Shoe is specially designed for stompin' treflips over trash cans at Love Park but it'll work just as well at your local. 

DC JS1 Skate Shoes

The first original pro shoe for the second-coming of Josh Kalis and all-around legend, John Shanahan, the DC Shoes JS1 embodies Shanahan's 90s sensibilities with a chunky construction that's been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st Century with a load of cutting edge technology. Whether you're looking for a shoe to help you stomp switch heels out of popped up tiles or a comfy chiller to pair with your baggy jeans, the JS1 has got you covered.

Keeping things frosty in an ice-cold White / Blue colourway, the DC JS1 features a leather, synthetic and mesh upper resulting in the perfect blend of durability and breathability for long-lasting performance and comfort. For even more durability, the JS1 also features a dual toe-box to provide an extra layer of protection where it's needed most alongside a faux runner toe for that sweet 90s flavour.

But if the runner toe isn't 90s enough for you the JS1 also features a foam padded collar and tongue for maximum comfort and chunkiness alongside a welded DC tongue logo and removable tongue strap to help keep your feet locked in - or for extra style points if you leave it undone. With the return of baggy jeans it only makes sense that chunky shoes make a resurgence too and the DC JS1s tick all the boxes!

Of course DC haven't cut corners when it comes to the sole either, utilising a load of top-quality tech to compliment the upper. Switching things up from the standard cupsole construction, the DC JS1 Shoe features an EVA strobel board instead of a midsole in order to achieve a more lightweight and flexible feel for extra comfort and boardfeel while still providing plenty of impact protection and support.

But that's not all, the DC Shoes JS1 also features a PU sockliner with an EVA heel cradle and injected TPR heel stabiliser for extra stability and support to help prevent those dreaded ankle rolls. This is all then backed up by DC's patented Super Rubber outsole for next-level grip and durability to help you keep skating for longer without blowing out the sole.
