CSC x High Rollers The Celtic Exchange
Witness the coming-together of two great nations as we join forces with Dublin's High Rollers Skate Shop for an NBD collaboration between shops and scenes in 'The Celtic Exchange'. Don't miss it!
The wait is finally over: our highly-anticipated 'Celtic Exchange' edit in collaboration with the good folk over at High Rollers is now available online for you to enjoy in full! Filmed by our very own Mike Ridout and High Rollers' Naoise McCarthy while Jimmy Silver absolutely killed it with the editing (that 'Kiss From A Rose' cover is the stuff of legend), the video brings together the very best of Welsh and Irish skateboarding as we each made the journey over to the other shop's respective city. Could this be the first step towards the United Kingdom of Wales and Ireland? Who knows, but we can at least dream.
Like the very finest of Six Nations finals, we went head-to-head with our Celtic brethren with Chris Jones, Paul Jenkins, Conor Charleson, Jimmy Silver, Lloyd Houston, Gabe Gorman and Ben Morris holding it down for Wales while Cillian Fitzpatrick, Michael McMaster, Dave Murphy, Shane San Agustin, Luke Kroon and Daniel Carroll represented the Emerald Isle. Obviously driven by some friendly competition, we managed to go 32-35 against them for tricks landed, which is pretty good going considering we all had the weather and various injuries working against us.
We won't prattle on for too long though as Conor has already done an immaculate job of summing it all up in his article over on Free. Go give it a read to find out all the folklore from the trip alongside some bonus photos courtesy of Trix and Naoise!
That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to buy the latest clothing and skateboard decks from CSC. Or, watch more of the best skate videos on the CSC Blog. Safe.
