CSC Changing Curbs Comp | The Results

Find out who took home the coveted curb crown in our much-hyped Changing Curbs comp. Big up everyone who got involved!

Cardiff Skateboard Club Changing Curbs Comp Winner

As if the arrival of the sun wasn't exciting enough, we thought we'd add some extra hype to the Spring period with our NBD Changing Curbs Comp. The brief was simple: unlock a previously unskated curb using whatever tools you have at your disposal then film an edit of the DIY transformation and the curb being skated, with the best edit taking the crown and bonus points for creativity. Well, the results are in and we can finally confirm who's taking home the highly coveted Heroin curb set-up and ultimate bragging rights. Have a read below to find out!

As always we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part, this wasn't exactly a low-effort comp to take part in with a fair amount of elbow greased involved and we were super hyped to see everyone getting stuck in. We never expected this to kick off quite as much as it did, with entries from all over the UK and even as far afield as Germany (shoutout CSC International Gang) and everyone going above and beyond in the name of curbs.

That said, there can be only one winner and everyone who's seen this entry already knows who it's going to be: the one and only Moose Valentino! Moose went well beyond the brief of making a curb skateable and ended up creating one of the dopest features ever seen in a carpark with build quality that looks better than the vast majority of British skateparks and a solid display of curb-based tekkers to boot. Check the edit below and pay tribute to your newly-crowned King of Curbs!

However, just because the comp's over doesn't mean the fun has to stop. There's no shortage of unskated curbs out there that are just begging for a bit of TLC to transform them into the ultimate hangout spot and hopefully this has given you a taste of that warm fuzzy feeling you get from blessing your local scene with a brand new curb to enjoy. Moose might have won the curb set-up but the real prize was the curbs we made along the way.

That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to buy all the finest Curb Skating Gear from CSC. Or, find out more about the latest Cardiff skateboard events on the CSC Blog. Safe.
