Video Daze - She's Cheating
New goodness from the Philly young guns, witness the next generation of East Coast royalty putting it down for Harry Bergenfield's lens.
Just in case you'd forgotten that the Philadelphia skate scene is one of the best in the world, Harry Bergenfield has rounded up the homies to remind you that the East Coast's where it's at. 'She's Cheating' features some of the most exciting heads from Philly, like Brian O'Dwyer, Kris Brown, and Efron Danzig, as well as some certified OGs like Brian Panebianco, Jahmir Brown, and Kevin Liedtke.
Obviously Brian O'Dwyer stole the show with his absolutely tapped first part in which he crushes handrails, hubbas and all manner of other sketchy setups. If it wasn't already clear that this kid's gonna go on to do some insane shit then this part is all the proof you need that you'd do well to remember his face. He's also clearly gunning for a modelling career as almost every clip starts with a close up shot of his smouldering, Blue Steel-esque roll-up face. Either that or the filmer just fancies him which would also be understandable.
As if the excitement of Brian snagging the latest Thrasher cover hadn't already added enough to the buzz surrounding the video, the boys have taken it one step further by kicking off some hilarious beef with the New York scene. One night under the cover of darkness, Bergenfield rounded up some of his burliest blue-collar homies and trekked up to New York in a UHAUL van to steal AVE's beloved, curved green bench from Tompkins Square Park and bring it back to Philly.
What's even more impressive is the fact that the story has been picked up by national newspapers in the States, including the New York Post, as well as TV news, only further adding to the mythology surrounding the legendary AVE bench. Tragically though the bench seems like it's now been taken by local authorities with reports of a forklift being seen removing the bench from Cecil B. Moore Station Plaza, although hopefully that isn't the end of this action-packed saga.
