Video Daze - Roar Kolnes Session Part
Witness Roar Kolnes in action as he takes his powerful pop to the streets of Norway for some serious vertical mileage.
Roar sent us over his part, which was admittedly flattering, and after witnessing the abnormally high proportion of hardflips (including some absolute stonkers performed over various bits of urban furniture) it seemed like a no-brainer to share it with you lovely lot. Us hardflip enthusiasts have to stick together, after all. With his slicked-back hair, suave fits and propensity for jumping over stuff, it's pretty hard not to draw a comparison with the Spanish stallion, Adrian Del Campo, although Roar brings his own flavours into the mix with his strong trick selection and a belter of an ender.
The part takes us on a tour of Oslo spots from iconic landmarks like Rådhuset and Vigeland Park to obscure back alleys and makeshift set-ups, including a heavily New York-inspired bump to can. With an abundance of pop, Roar floats up and over stairs, rails, benches and more with a wide selection of bangers on display from powerfully stomped treflips to lesser-seen fakie bigflips - but don't worry if you're not a fan of the high jump as he also makes sure to demonstrate his ledge proficiency with some tasteful bangers.
