Video Daze - Hot as Hell
Catch two of CSC's fiercest Dragons, Don Irfan and Conor Charleson, laying down hammers in Malaysia alongside some of the local Vans homies for the one and only Grey Skate Mag.
While Don's become a part of the furniture here in Cardiff over the last few years and his mastery of many of the local spots has made it easy to forget that he's a fairly recent import, it's a real treat getting to see him alongside his local homies in his natural habitat, Malaysia.
Join Don as he links up with fellow CSC Dragon, Conor Charleson, and Vans teammate Mikey Patrick as they visit the local Vans legends - including Fikri Fauzi, Rubianda Rachman, Porock Luis, Azhan Firdaus, Koya Miyasaka, Shah Ramadhan an Ian Iman - and explore the best that Kuala Lumpur has to offer, all masterfully documented by Tep York and Nizam Hisham!
Don also took on the role of Malaysian TM/local guide for the trip, performing the unenviable task of taxiing a group of overly keen skaters between spots while still stacking clips himself. Despite presumably being absolutely knackered from all this responsibility (and after nearly splitting himself in half sacking on the corner of an electrical box), The Don still managed to come through with a load of bangers at some tastefully cutty spots, including a Max Palmer-esque front noseslide pop-over and a very en vogue road gap to curb bash.
Luckily all the local boys seemed pretty keen on wallrides (that wallie to front wallride clip was bonkers!) which worked out in Conor's favour as the group visited a wide variety of steep urban transitions for him to work his vertically-orientated magic on, showering us with plenty of niche slappy grinds, lofty wallrides and sketchy drop-ins.
But if this bangin' video ain't enough to satisfy your Don-related cravings then be sure to head over to Grey's website to read the full interview with Don and Tep to find out more about Malaysian skateboarding and Tep's brand Quit, alongside some bangin' photos from the main man, Henry Kingsford!
That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to buy the latest skateboard decks, clothing, shoes and more from CSC. Or, check out more of the best skate videos on the CSC Blog. Safe.
