The Week Today, Now - 21/11/2022

Dan Bunn

Bringing you the latest and greatest skateboard news from the last week, including Nyjah skating to Christian Rock, the return of Atlantic Drift, and the new Blokes 2 teaser.

Blokes 2 comin' at ya harder than a bag of hammers.

Unsatisfied with his already abysmal levels of street cred, Nyjah Huston has gone above and beyond to make himself the object of ridicule in his new 'Shine On' part, which features admittedly difficult skateboarding alongside Christian rock music and some of the most horrific outfits you're ever likely to see. A constant reminder that things can always get worse.

While manuals haven't always been the coolest tricks (probably thanks to their association with Joey Brezinski) but Casper Brooker seems intent on changing that, coming through with some awe-inspiring two-wheeled tekkers in the latest episode of Atlantic Drift.

Yet another flawless link-up this week with the new DC Shoes x Butter collab treating us to a bangin' new Philadelphia-based edit featuring Josh Kalis, Shaun Paul, Philly Santosusso, Aleka Lang and loads of other 90s enthusiasts.

Get an insight into the Leeds skate scene with the incredible new community-based 'Civic Leeds' project aimed at documenting some of the city's history. Good shit boys!

After the seemingly never-ending shit show that Illegal Civ has become, Kevin White has now dropped his own part, 'Sincerely K White', presumably paying the standard fee of $700k for the right to do so.

The prophesied time draws near and we've finally been given a glimpse at the highly-anticipated blockbuster 'Blokes 2' with a hilarious teaser that's guaranteed to brighten your week.

If you're still ignorant of the insane levels of talent emanating from Australia right now then Noah Nayef's buttery new part for April is sure to open your eyes. Man's got style.

Japanese wonder kid, Masaki Hongo, has found himself a home on the SK8MAFIA team which means we get a bangin' new video featuring Masaki and his new teammates with a particularly heavy last part from Alexis Ramirez.

Suitably speedy GG Allin-themed part from Josef Scott Jatta to start your week off with a bang. Live fast die.

'Check Mate' is a new offering from the Dutch contingent of Vans Europe with Rob Maatman, Pascal Moelaert, Tjerk Oosting and countless others showing off the country's characteristic creativity.

Catch up with your favourite Scandinavians in 'kiss me', the new edit from Makke Bengtsson featuring Heitor Da Silva, David Lindahl, Oscar Säfström, Gustav Edén, Samuel Norgren, Simon Hallberg and many more.

New Nelly footage! Catch Nelly alongside her homies in the new video from Olaf Trevilla, featuring more sketchy drop-ins than a beginner's skateboard lesson and an eye-pleasing last part from Ryan Straw.

Plenty of respectable skating on offer in Tyler Bamdas' new video, 'V3', featuring Patrick Praman, Alec Spinosi, Christian Dufrene, Josh Douglas and more. Big fan of Alec Spinosi.

That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to buy the latest skateboard decks, clothing, shoes and more from CSC. Or, check out more of the latest news, videos, and product reviews on the CSC Blog. Safe.
