Ever since Andrew Reynolds joined the New Balance Numeric squad way back in 2022, there's been one question burning in everyone's minds: when will he be getting his own pro shoe?! New Balance have been pretty hush-hush about the shoe until now and we haven't even been shown it in their upcoming catalogues so we're just as hyped as you to finally catch a glimpse of the New Balance Andew Reynolds 933 pro shoes in the wild.

After almost three years of anticipation, the cat is finally out of the bag as Reynolds flaunts the long-awaited New Balance Numeric Andrew Reynolds 933 pro shoe in his new Thrasher Magazine cover. Despite the bonkers kickflip wallride, the New Balance Andrew Reynolds shoes well and truly stole the show driving fans across the world into a frenzy, so let's take a look at what the cover reveals.

First things first, it's pretty clear that the New Balance Numeric Andrew Reynolds 933 draws inspiration from some of New Balance's legendary running shoes with its multi-panelled upper and old-school runner toe delivering those sweet 90s vibes. Given the name 933, it's safe to assume that Reynolds has taken inspiration from the iconic New Balance 990 range so you can expect to find some of the same technology from the running shoes being reimagined for skateboarding as well as a similar pricepoint to reflect this.

In particular, the sole looks almost identical to the 993s with a a cupsole construction that's thinner towards the toe for enhanced boardfeel and thicker at the heel for additional impact protection. The new Andrew Reynolds New Balance shoe appears to have a stacked heel construction similar to the New Balance 993, which features an added layer of Abzorb DTS cushioning in the heel for extra comfort, so the Andrew Reynolds 933 looks like it could be one of New Balance Numeric's comfiest shoes to date. 

As another clue, we can also see a sneaky little green blob towards the heel - which you may recognise from the soles of some of New Balance Numeric's other models, like the Tiago 1010 - suggesting that the shoe may also feature New Balance's signature FuelCell midsole for an extra layer of cushioning and support, or maybe even some brand new technology which performs a similar function.

Following the Thrasher cover, New Balance Numeric have also teased us with a close-up shot off the Andrew Reynolds 933 offering a more detailed look at the heel. While the picture doesn't exactly give us much to go off, we can clearly see that the upper features multiple layers of panelling, including a rubber strip, several layers of double-stitched suede for maximum durability as well as some exposed mesh for added breathability.

Likewise, the picture also shows off the unique stacked heel construction that's eerily similar to the 993, with what looks to be a softer foam layer above a harder rubber sole for next-level cushioning and support. It's pretty rare to see this kind of construction in a skate shoe so we're super excited to be able to get our hands on a pair and see how they skate - but seeing as The Boss has given them his seal of approval, you know they're gonna be good.

Aside from the tech, the image also reveals some of the shoe's branding with a debossed New Balance logo on the rubber strip below a tasteful 933 graphic. As if all this isn't already exciting enough, New Balance Numeric have also teased us with some of the shoe's unused names - which included the 333, 999, 933 and, our personal favourite, the 8055 - to help further build the hype.

Having already been treated to two bangin' Andrew Reynolds 480 colourways over the past few years to keep us ticking over, the wait for his first New Balance Numeric pro model is almost over as the Andrew Reynolds 933 has finally been pegged for a mid-April release after being pushed back due to production issues, with the current release date planned for Friday 18th April.
