Young Tyshawn Jones with Chris Cole, both two-time Skater of the Year winners - CSC, Cardiff Skateboard Club - UK Skate Store
Just a coupla two-time SOTY winners.

It's official: Tyshawn Jones is Thrasher's Skater of the Year 2022 (sorry Jah) - making him the third ever person to win the award twice alongside mega-legends Chris Cole and Danny Way - and you know he's gonna be gunning for it a third time. TJ has put down some absolutely ludicrous NBDs this year and if his iconic kickflip over the tracks at 145th Street subway station wasn't enough to seal the deal then the fact he one-upped himself and backside flipped it definitely was.

When Free Skate Mag recommend a video it's usually a good idea to watch it immediately and Thomas Purtell's new video, 'Sucker', is a perfect example of why. Absolutely overflowing with impeccable trick selection at an assortment of crusty spots and complimented by an elite soundtrack, this is easily one of the best skate videos of the year.

Converse have just dropped their new video, 'As You Wish', starring Erik Herrera and Louie Lopez, with Louie making his run for Thrasher's SOTY title with this hefty three song banger. Unfortunately for Louie though it was nowhere near enough for him to win. Maybe next time.

Geoff Campbell has rounded up some of Australia's finest for his new 'Internet Birthday' series, with the first episode starring Nick Boserio, Jack O'Grady, Shaun Paul, Riley Pavey and more going absolutely skitz in the streets of Melbourne.

A taste of the incredible spot and trick selection on offer in 'Sucker'.

Accompany Polar's Hjalte Halberg and David Stenstrom on a wintry tour of Copenhagen as the pair dance their way around some of the city's most iconic spots and skateparks for Dancer. Hygge in skate video form.

If you liked 'Sucker' then you're definitely gonna want to check out Nyle Lovett's new 'Pyramid Park' part for Theories of Atlantis for even more crusty, techy goodness.

Solid selection of stylish Spaniards at work in Damage's new video, 'Pentecostal', with Juan 'Jura' Algora, Javi De Pedro, Victor Marín, Raul Navarro and more laying down hammers across Spain with no shortage of shenanigans in between.

Istanbul seems to established itself as one of the hottest new skate travel destinations in recent years but now we've been treated to a bangin' new scene video from some of the local heads. Some serious spot porn in this one.

Jace Detomasso switch frontside flip from Duplex 4, shot by Scott Brothers - CSC, Cardiff Skateboard Club - UK Skate Store
Jace Detomasso with a hefty switch frontside flip from 'Duplex 4', shot by Scott Brothers.

You may remember 'Duplex 3' from earlier this year but these Florida-based nutters are already back with another full-length video and it's got everything you expect from the state that's best known for producing absolute psychos.

Erick Winkowski, Chris Wimer and Kevin Baekkel lead the charge in Emerica's new video, 'Emerge', backed up by a heavy montage featuring the rest of the team.

Ain't gonna say no to two and a half minutes of Oski Rozenberg flowing round a bowl, even if it is on an electric longboard.

Join the Crailtap crew for a dreamy car park sesh with Vincent Alvarez, Manchild, Erik Herrera, Briana Geering and more making the most of their local lot.

That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to buy the latest skateboard decks, clothing, shoes and more from CSC. Or, check out more of the latest news, videos, and product reviews on the CSC Blog. Safe.
