Never ones to disappoint, Skateboard Cafe are always upping their game drop after drop so of course their Spring '23 collection is one of their finest to date. As usual they've recruited local artists for a load of vibrant new graphics as well as bringing back some classic designs with updated twists. With a whole range of new skateboard decks, tees and caps, Skate Cafe's latest collection is not to be missed!
Skateboard Cafe Decks
First up, we've got the new Skate Cafe Sex Palace 'Cheers' and 'Pool' decks, both of which boast colourful illustrations by artist, Ethan Smith (AKA @s3xpalace), on various coloured woodstain backgrounds. We're big fans of Ethan's lo-fi, punk-inspired cartoon aesthetic and it's safe to say both the 'Cheers' and 'Pool' decks would look just as good on the wall as they would in the streets. The Skate Cafe 'Sex Palace Cheers' deck comes in at 8.25" while the Skate Cafe 'Sex Palace Pool' deck is available as an 8.5".
Alongside the Sex Palace Artist series, Skate Cafe have also teamed up with the reigning king of hand-painted signs, Mr Finbar, for an exceptionally classy logo deck. The Skateboard Cafe 'Finbar' Deck features a lovely vintage colour palette with a Cafe logo in traditional, hand-painted lettering courtesy of Mr Finbar. You may even recognise Mr Finbar's work from Bacareto's window displays so you know this is the real deal. We've got the Skate Cafe 'Finbar' Deck in two variants: a green 8.38" and a teal 8.125", both featuring slightly different designs.
Skate Cafe have also reimagined their beloved series from yesteryear featuring some of the team's dogs. The new Skateboard Cafe 'Pooch' deck has taken this series from their last drop and merged it into one graphic featuring Pooch and Jackie Brown (Rancid Harry Ogilvie's dogs), Norma (Ollie Lock's dog) and Casper (Josh Arnott's dog) with artwork by Bristol-based tattoo artist, @witchgatherer. Available in 8.25", the Skate Cafe 'Pooch' deck is a must have for any animal lover and it's the only deck from the collection that features the classic Skate Cafe shape rather than the new C2 shape.
Last but not least, the Skate Cafe 'Trumpet Collage' deck is another reimagined classic with their iconic Trumpet logo being used to create a collage in a variety of different colours. Skate Cafe's Trumpet Logo is always a top-seller thanks to its jazzy, musical theme and this new design is perfect if you don't want to have to settle for just one colourway.
Skateboard Cafe Clothing
Alongside the new decks, of course Skate Cafe have treated us to some premium-quality clothing to protect you from the elements. If you're a fan of the Sex Palace decks then you're in luck as the drop also features some new clothing with his artwork. We've got the 'Cheers' graphic as a tee or a stylish, two-tone 6-panel cap in either Red / Black or Black / Purple alongside the 'Dancing' T-shirt in either teal or heather grey, all of which feature Sex Palace's eye-catching artwork. These are not to be missed!
We've also got the Skate Cafe 'Mr Finbar' T-shirt featuring a Skate Cafe logo on the chest in his iconic hand-painted style, as well as the 'Pooch' tee which features all three dogs as a large chest print. Last but not least the drop also features a new colourway of Skate Cafe's signature '45' tee with a music-themed chest and back print in white, lavender or forest green colourways.
