Everyone's favourite skater-owned shoe brand, Last Resort, are back with their 11th run of premium skate shoes and this drop in particular is one that we have been very excited for. After hearing rumours ages ago, we've been eagerly awaiting the launch of Last Resort's first ever cupsole shoe, the CM001, and we're stoked to announce that they're finally here. If you've been itching to try Last Resort skate shoes but you need more support than a flimsy vulc then the new Last Resort cupsole is the shoe for you!
Last Resort Cupsole CM001
The new Last Resort CM001 is the first ever Last Resort cupsole shoe, marking a step away from their typical vulcanised models in favour of a more high-tech, supportive shoe while still maintaining their clean, minimalist aesthetic. The Last Resort CM001 features a leather upper with suede patches on the toe, heel and around the laces for that reliable suede flick and extra durability where it's needed most, as well as giving the shoe a classy look that's reminiscent of the Chris Milic VM004.
Obviously the main way in which the CM001 stands out from Last Resort's other models is due to the shoe's cupsole construction. The CM001's cupsole construction still maintains the signature characteristics of the VM models, like their signature tread pattern which helps prevent gravel getting stuck in the sole, while providing additional support and impact protection compared to their vulcanised models. For extra functionality, the Last Resort CM001 features added pivot points in the sole and internal hexagonal cells to ensure maximum flexibility and boardfeel, as well as their new Cloudy Cush removable insole for ultimate comfort and the option to swap in your own insoles.
The Last Resort CM001 features a rounder, shorter toe that's slightly wider around the ball of the foot than any of Last Resort's previous models. The CM001 also has a much snugger fit compared to their vulcanised models so we'd recommend sticking to your usual size or going half a size up if you don't like them too tight (I usually size down to a 8.5 or 9 in VM models but the CM001 fits nicely in a 10). A lot of people have pointed out the sizing issues with Last Resort's shoes but the sizing of their new cupsole shoe feels like a step in the right direction. We'd still recommend coming into the shop to try them on just to be safe though.
We've got the new Last Resort cupsole shoe in two tasteful colourways: a timeless Black/Black colourway with a black leather and a black sole; or a more summery Safari/Black with a tan upper and black sole. They even also come with some alternate round laces with a jazzy houndstooth pattern in case you really want to spice things up.
Last Resort Chris Milic VM004
Alongside the new Last Resort cupsole shoe, Drop 11 also introduces are bangin' new colourway for Chris Milic's pro shoe, the VM004. After their vibrant introduction with the frog-esque Duo Green colourway, Last Resort have toned things down slightly with the Duo Grey colourway which features a black sole and a two-tone grey upper for a more refined aesthetic that still packs plenty of character.
As always, the Last Resort Chris Milic VM004 features a vulcanised sole for ultimate boardfeel and a suede upper with added wing-tip suede panels on the toe for long-lasting flick and durability. Just like the CM001, the new Chris Milic VM004 also feature Last Resort's new Cloudy Cush removable insole for extra comfort and impact protection so you can keep skating all day, with the added bonus of a custom Chris Milic graphic for extra style points.
That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to browse the full range of Last Resort skate shoes and clothing and buy now from CSC. Or, find out more about the latest skate product on the CSC Blog. Safe.
