Last Resort Chris Milic VM004 Skate Shoe

The founder of Frog Skateboards and an international sweetheart, Chris Milic (AKA Mango) has long been a cult favourite since winning everyone's hearts with his quirky charm in SLAP's 'One In A Million'. Seeing as he's such an icon within the independent skate scene, it makes sense that he should be the first person to receive a pro model shoe from Last Resort, but hopefully he won't be the last as we're still holding out for a Billy Trick pro model some day.

The first dedicated pro model shoe from Last Resort, the Chris Milic VM004 reimagines their timeless VM001 silhouette with the addition of a stylish, wingtip toe-cap reminiscent of an adidas Samba. Not only does this toe-cap help to maximise swag, it also adds an extra layer of protection where it's needed most to help improve the shoe's durability and ensure long-lasting flick. Just like all of Last Resort's current offerings, the VM004 Chris Milic features a vulcanised construction for optimal boardfeel, but don't worry if you're still holding out for the Last Resort cupsole as they'll be releasing in the next drop!

The Last Resort Chris Milic VM004 is currently available in two variants: a vibrant (and distinctively Mango) Duo Green colourway with a white sole and a lime green suede upper and a pale green toe-cap; and a smart, all-black colourway with a black sole, a black leather upper and a black pig suede toe cap. They even include a custom Chris Milic insole featuring one of his iconic, lo-fi designs for a nice little personalised touch, and to make things more even more they also feature the new Cloudy Cush removable insoles!

As if the launch of the new Last Resort Chris Milic shoe wasn't exciting enough, the drop also introduces Last Resort's highly-anticipated Cloudy Cush removable insole. After a mixed reaction to their initial style of insole - which were pretty thin and couldn't be removed, making it difficult to use other insoles in the shoes if you wanted more support - the powers that be at Last Resort listened to the people's wishes and decided to act on them.

Now, their fixed, leather insoles have been replaced by ultra-modern, high-tech Cloudy Cush insoles that not only offer better impact protection and support but can be removed and replaced by other insoles if you so desire. In this capitalist hellscape it's pretty rare that companies actually listen to the people, let alone significantly change their business practices in response so hats off to Last Resort for this one. They really are the good guys.
