After the whole Route One Liverpool scandal - in which Route One opened up a store within pissing distance of Liverpool's OG skater-owned shop, Lost Art, resulting in serious, well-deserved backlash from the community (shoutout Rauiri Jones for leading the charge) - it seems like everyone got a bit of a reminder of just how important it is to support your local, independent shop.

With all this extra attention on the importance of supporting your local, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to bring back our OG Fuck / Support T-shirts so that people can put their money where their mouth is and show their support (or hatred) loud and proud. First released back in 2017, the tees feature artwork by local legend and skate artist extraordinaire, Phil Morgan, with two subtly different designs for the 'Fuck' and 'Support' tees.

If you're looking to spread some love, the 'Support' tee features a charming peace hand sign with skateboards for fingers in true Phil Morgan fashion, alongside the 'Support Independent Skate Shops' banner. This one's the perfect choice for if you're not looking to offend anyone and want to rack up some good karma.

Alternatively, there's nothing wrong with spreading a bit of hate every now and then, which is where the 'Fuck' T-shirt comes in. This time, the peace sign has been flipped around into a much ruder gesture alongside the slogan 'Fuck Chain Store Skate Shops' for when you've had enough of being Mr Nice Guy.

Both the 'Fuck' and 'Support' tees are available in a huge range of colours, allowing you to get a taste of the rainbow without risking diabetes. From classic Black and White to more vibrant options like Yellow, Kelly Green, Coral, Red and Slate, we've got colours to suit any occasion, mood or outfit. Cool Shop Club

It's not just the tees we've brought back though, we're also bringing back our Cool Shop Club initiative to help spread the love even further. Back in 2016, we thought it'd be cool to send out some free tees to shops that had shown us love in the post, alongside a little note explaining our idea, just to see what the response would be like. Luckily, everyone was stoked (and suprised) and we ended up receiving a load of packages including tees, stickers and notes of support. We even ended up receiving enough tees to set up our own little display of shop tees from across the UK which was really rad - shoutout to everyone who sent us a tee!

Fast forward to 2023 and, just like all the best brands, we're rehashing old ideas and bringing back Cool Shop Club for round 2. We've made a fresh batch of tees, written another little note, and sent out a load of care packages to shops around the country as a show of support. So far we've loved seeing all the stoked responses from shops, and if we managed to brighten up someone's day before they plunged headfirst into answering questions about woodshops and wheelbase then that's enough for us.
