Long-time endorsers of high-quality hip hop, Chocolate Skateboards have teamed up with Interscope Records for an extra special collection celebrating 50 Years of Hip Hop. The new Chocolate x Interscope collab pays tribute to the huge impact hip hop has had on skateboard culture over the years with a bangin' selection of decks and clothing themed around one of the hardest albums of all time: GZA's 'Liquid Swords'.

One of the founding members of exalted hip hop collective, Wu-Tang Clan, GZA is a certified legend of the game having featured prominently on many of the group's tracks as well as releasing several of his own solo albums. According to an article by The Pudding, he even has the second largest vocabulary in hip hop (after Aesop Rock) and with his lyrics referencing topics like chess, philosophy and science, it's no surprise he's earned himself the name, 'The Genius'.

Released in 1995, 'Liquid Swords' is GZA's iconic second solo studio album known for its sampling of classic martial arts film, 'Shogun Assassin' (which you may also recognise from the end of 'Kill Bill'), and appearances from fellow Wu-Tang members. Almost 30 years after its release, 'Liquid Swords' is still regularly cited as one of the greatest hip hop records of all time thanks to GZA's hypnotic flow and lyricism and we highly recommend giving it a spin if you've never listened to it!

Chocolate x Interscope Liquid Swords Deck

For this legendary collab, Chocolate have come through with a brand new Vincent Alvarez pro deck celebrating GZA's legendary album with the graphic featuring artwork from the 'Liquid Swords' album cover. The new Chocolate 'Liquid Swords' deck features snippets of the martial arts action from the album cover alongside logos for Chocolate, Interscope, GZA, Wu-Tang and Liquid Swords on a tasteful woodstain background, as well as a top graphic featuring the album cover in full. The Liquid Swords artwork is straight up iconic and this deck is an instant classic!

Alongside the deck, the new Chocolate x Interscope records collection also includes some bangin' GZA-themed clothing, like the Chocolate 'Liquid Swords' Longsleeve T-shirt which features some of the iconic 'Liquid Swords' album artwork as a back piece alongside a quintuplet of logos on the front, including a Liquid Swords logo, a GZA logo, an Interscope Records logo, a Chocolate logo and a 50 Years of Hip Hop logo - and it even features an additional Chocolate clamb label on the hem. Now that's value for money.

Last but not least, we've also got the new Chocolate 'Liquid Swords' cap which comes in a stylish Wine colourway with a timeless, unstructured 5-panel construction and an OG low square fit. The front of the cap features an embroidered 'Liquid Swords' logo with an additional embroidered 'Chocolate 50 Years of Hip Hop' logo on the side for some extra swag.
