92-ish Skateboard Catalog
Are you a nostalgia-ridden old head wanting to relive the good old days? Perhaps you're new to skating and you want to learn more about the history of skateboard graphics? Or maybe you just like looking at all the funny pictures. Either way, Manuel Fuentes' new skateboard book '92-ish Skateboarding Catalog' is the ultimate guide to 90s skateboard graphics with full HD, colour photos of around 600 decks.
Clocking in at a hefty 300 pages, '92-ish Skateboard Catalog' is easily one of the most comprehensive guides to the history of skateboard decks - and it only covers roughly one year! Manuel Fuentes has been hard at work attempting to catalogue every major, US skateboard deck released in 1992, although due to the chaotic nature of skateboarding it can be pretty hard to precisely pinpoint the exact date of each deck's release, hence the name: 92-ish.
After trying to hunt down beloved skateboard graphics from his teenage years, only to find a frustrating lack of decent pictures online, Manuel Fuentes took it upon himself to do everyone a favour and track down all the decks released (roughly) in 1992 - a legendary year for skateboarding and one which holds personal significance to Manuel. To achieve this, Manuel reached out to deck collectors around the world in order to get high quality pictures of all the iconic decks released in 1992 - so some of them have got signs of wear from being skated.
'92ish Skateboard Catalog' features decks from all the most legendary skate brands from the 90s, including 101, Alien Workshop, Birdhouse, Blind, World Industries, Real, New Deal, Think and countless others. You'll also probably recognise many of the names on the decks with the book featuring pro models from all-time greats like Eric Koston, Neil Blender, Mike Carroll, Eric Dressen, Jason Lee, Julian Stranger, Mike Vallely, Sean Sheffey and many, many more.
Of course this also means the decks feature artwork from some of the best skate artists of all time like Mark McKee, Sean Cliver, Ed Templeton, Jeff Tremaine, Mike Hill, Mark Gonzalez and many more with some absolutely infamous graphics, like the Blind 'Fucked Up Blind Kids' decks and the extremely controversial World Industries 'Napping Negro' deck - in some cases there's even photos of the original artwork as an added bonus.
To make things even more exciting, these must-have skateboard books have been limited to just 1,000 copies with each book having its own distinct number. This means that, just like the decks featured within, this book is a collector's item in itself so don't wait around if you want to get your hands on a copy!
That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to browse the full range of skateboard books and grab yourself a copy of 92ish Skateboarding Catalog. Or, check out more of the latest news, videos, and product reviews on the CSC Blog. Safe.
