As if Living Proof Magazine haven't already done enough to document New York street culture over the decades, they're already back with another incredible photobook to take you even deeper into the history of the city that never sleeps and the people who helped shape it. This time, they're working alongside graff history legend, Alan Ket (AKA KET), the co-founder and curator of the Museum of Graffiti, to dive deep into one of street culture's most influential magazines: Stress Magazine. Packed with a wide variety of the magazine's most beloved articles from over the years, with many a famous face within, the Living Proof 'Stress Magazine' Book is definitely not one to be missed; find out why below!

Founded back in 1995 by a group of graffiti writers, artists and general hustlers, none of whom had any previous editorial experience or links to the industry, Stress Magazine managed to capture the burgeoning street culture scene surrounding New York City with a level of raw authenticity that's been near-enough impossible for anyone else to replicate since. While the mag only ran for eight years, eventually going out of business in 2003, they left an indelible mark on the cultures they helped document, offering first-hand insights into the minds and lives of a wide variety of underrepresented voices, including rappers, skateboarders, graffiti writers, hustlers, convicts and neighbourhood icons, and ultimately capturing the very essence of New York City's underbelly during that period.

Right from the very first issue, which saw Wu-Tang Clan legend Raekwon gracing the cover, Stress Magazine have long celebrated the intersection of hip-hop, graffiti and street culture. Over their eight year lifespan, they championed a load of the biggest names in hip-hop, including Jay-Z, RZA, Mobb Deep, Fat Joe, Ghostface Killah and Eminem, while also keeping graff culture at the centre of its identity by spotlighting the work of infamous writers such as REVS, GIZ, GHOST, JAKEE, SANE SMITH and JA ONE. The features themselves were equally diverse, ranging from interviews with emerging icons to long-form prose on topics like graffiti ideology and how to shoplift, all of which were complimented by a wealth of incredible photography and artwork.

Now, celebrating 30 years since the magazine was first launched, Living Proof and KET have set about compiling some of the most iconic stories from each issue, even including some particularly dope OG ads, into the new 'Stress Magazine' Book. Offering up an unprecedented look back at one of the most impactful magazines of the last 30 years, many copies of which have been lost to time, Living Proof's 'Stress Magazine' Book is a must-have for any fans of hip-hop, graffiti or street culture in general. These won't be around for long so grab your copy from CSC now!
