Jacob Harris and the Isle boys continue to fully wound 2017 with their entry in Transworld's Cinematographer Project.
With the Atlantic Drift edits, and now this TWS edit, is Jake Harris on his way to being filmer of the year 2017? We certainly think so.
Isle's Cinematographer edit has got to be one of the most thought out and best executed concepts for an edit. The mixing of old footage, showing the history of the skaters and the brands Blueprint back catalog is certain to please old and young heads. Much like how Chris Mulhern's Philadelphia Experiment edit and Habitat's Origin video worked. However, Jake Harris' take on the technique is spot on. It's like that old saying same, same but different (probably). If you get what I mean.
I'm also a big fan of it being filmed in Italy. Always forget how good that place looks to skate. Normally the only footage I see is of Italy is the Milan's train station. So this is pretty refreshing. I really didn't want to use that phrase, but I'm tired and slightly hungover. Give me a break. Maybe we should go to Italy this summer instead of Barca?
