Over the years Polar have firmly established themselves as the reigning Kings when it comes to skate pants with almost all of their different styles being massively popular at various points in time. But don't worry if you're new to the game, we've put together the ultimate guide to Polar trousers so you can find the right size and fit in the perfect style for you, whether it's the ultra-baggy Big Boy Jeans or the timeless straight-leg '93 Pants. We've even included top down views of each style so you can see how they look when you're wearing them, because we all know that's the most important part.
Polar Big Boy Jeans
A cultural institution which have arguably been the defining trousers of the last few years: Polar's Big Boy Jeans are the gold standard of baggy trousers. With their ultra-loose, wide-leg fit and just the right amount of taper to ensure they rest perfectly on your shoes, there's a reason Polar Big Boy Jeans are the most popular trousers on the market.
Big Boy Jeans Fit
Polar Big Boy Jeans are the baggiest trousers in Polar's range, and some of the baggiest trousers on the market (outside of Japan). Their ultra-baggy fit is widest around the thighs and tapers very slightly at the ankle to help them sit nicely on your shoes without bunching up too much. If you're looking for the baggiest pants, it doesn't get much better than the Big Boys.
Big Boy Jeans Sizing
The model in the picture is 6'1 (185cm) with a 30" waist and is wearing a size Large for an oversized fit (definitely not because we only had a Large left in stock at the time...) although he would usually wear a size Medium which still provides ample levels of sag without being as long or large around the waist (I'm also around 6' with a 31" waist and wear a medium which I find is just right for me and still has a bit of room on the waist). But hey, if you're looking for maximum sag then of course feel free to size up to a Large, just make sure you have a belt to hand.

Polar '93 Denim
The weapon of choice for those who refuse to be sucked in by the Big Boy hype, Polar's 93 jeans are a straight-up timeless fit that are far less susceptible to the ebb and flow of trends. If you're looking for some tastefully loose denim without the parachute-y fit then Polar 93 jeans are for you.
Polar '93 Pants Fit
Polar '93 Pants feature a loose, straight leg fit with a slight taper through the leg for a stylish semi-baggy fit that's not as extreme as the Big Boys. Realistically, it seems like the ultra-baggy jeans trend has peaked so expect these bad boys to become the weapon of choice for most people going forward. I even got my old man a pair and he seems to like them so they're a safe bet for all ages.
Polar '93 Pants Sizing
Unlike most of Polar's other trousers, the Polar '93 Pants are sized by waist and leg measurements which makes things a lot easier if you know what size you normally wear, or if you want to have a bit more choice in the waist-to-leg ratio. The model in the picture is 6'1 (185cm) with a 30" waist and is wearing a size 32" x 32" but there's plenty of room to play with the length of you like them cuffed, high-rise or more on the saggy side.
Polar Surf Pants
More interested in comfort over fit? Polar's Surf Pants are about as close as you can get to wearing pyjamas without getting funny looks on the street thanks to their loose tapered fit, thin cotton construction and elasticated, drawstring waistband.
Polar Surf Pants Fit
Polar Surf Pants feature a relaxed parachute fit that's nice and baggy around the thigh before tapering through the calf and ankle, so they generally look best when you size them correctly so they just about rest on your shoes. However, if you do want to oversize them then the elasticated waistband makes this easy to do and you can always cut the bottoms to get the length right.
Polar Surf Pants Sizing
Like the Big Boys, Polar Surf Pants use arbitrary size groups, although the elasticated waistband means these sizes can be pretty flexible. As such, we'd recommend sizing based on leg length rather than waist size - and luckily they offer tall versions to make things easier if you're tall and thin. The model in the picture is 6'1 (185cm) with a 30" waist and is wearing a size Medium.
Polar Railway Chinos
One of Polar's newest offerings, the Railway Chinos are a classy, loose-fit chino pant for the sophisticated modern gentleman. The Polar Railway pants combine features from some of Polar's most popular trousers, like their signature wide-leg fit coupled with an elasticated waistband for the perfect fit.
Polar Railway Chinos Fit
The Polar Railway Chinos feature a wide leg, baggy fit with a slight taper towards the ankle that's pretty similar to the Big Boys but slightly less baggy. Much like the Big Boys, the Railway Chinos are widest around the thigh and taper slightly towards the bottom, with slightly more taper than the Big Boys but not as much as the Surf Pants.
Polar Railway Chinos Sizing
Like the Big Boys and Surf Pants, the Polar Railway Chinos use arbitrary size groups, although the slightly elasticated waistband means these sizes are more flexible than in the Big Boys (although maybe not quite so much as the Surf Pants) and oversizing will work better than the Surf Pants because they're not so tapered through the leg. The model in the picture is 6'1 (185cm) with a 30" waist and is wearing a size Medium.
