Have a read below to step inside the world of Dungeon and find out all you need to know about this one-of-a-kind brand!
History of Dungeon Gateway
Founded by one of the UK's most legendary skate artists, Richard 'French' Sayer, as yet another outlet for his never-ending flow of creative juices, Dungeon Gateway initially began as a zine called 'DUNGEON' which French started after he stopped working on his previous skate brand, Witchcraft. Releasing patches, stickers and a tee alongside the zine, people automatically assumed that it was a new brand which inevitably led to people asking to be on the team, gradually snowballing into the brand as we know it today - although French himself has said that it's not really a brand or a company, it's just whatever he wants to make with his artwork on.

Known for his unique brand of gothic, fantasy and heavy metal-inspired artwork which Dungeon Gateway is built around, French is one of the most distinctive and prolific artists in skateboarding. As well as previously running his own skate brand, Witchcraft Hardware (which sponsored local legend, Jake Collins), French has also provided artwork for a wide variety of other brands both inside and outside of skateboarding over the years - including Heroin Skateboards, Element, Volcom, Sabbath Wheels, Carhartt, Liquid Death, Lazy Oaf, Uniqlo, Soft Play, Marshall and countless others - so it's safe to say he knows what he's doing when it comes to making graphics.

Dungeon Gateway Skate Team
Given Dungeon's unconventional origins, it should come as no surprise that they also do things differently when it comes to their team. Unlike your typical skate brand, Dungeon Gateway don't really have an official skate team in the traditional sense, instead opting for a loose and ever-changing selection of homies who rep the brand. Some of these legends include Heroin's Dead Dave and Charlie Gush alongside Max Roton, Rikk Fields, Luca Andermatt, Oula Hynenen and countless others.

Dungeon Gateway Skate Videos
Despite not being your average skate brand when it comes to their team and origins, Dungeon Gateway does do things a bit more by the book when it comes to their skate videos. Showcasing their eclectic menagerie of devotees alongside French's signature spooky artwork, Dungeon Gateway skate videos always bring the mosh with that unbeatable combination of hesh AF transition skating and top-tier metal soundtracks. If you're a fan of hard and fast riffs backed up by even harder and faster skating then you're in the right place.
Dungeon Gateway Clothing
While Dungeon Gateway is clearly far more than a mere clothing brand, that doesn't mean they don't make more than their fair share of top quality clothing. Utilising French's preternatural ability to draw forth the finest gothic designs this side of black metal, Dungeon Gateway routinely summon a ceaseless host of grotesque and ghoulish graphics for some of the spookiest clothing in skateboarding.

Consistently serving up a sinister selection of top-quality moshwear, including T-shirts, hoods, caps, beanies, joggers and more, Dungeon always deliver top-tier moshwear featuring artwork from French himself. With graphics including creepy portcullises, blood-stained axes and a wide variety of ghosts and ghouls, Dungeon Gateway clothing features designs that could be taken straight from the pages of the Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual with a wide range of vibrant colourways to help you stand out in the pit.

Alongside their own clothing, Dungeon have also teamed up with a load of other brands over the years for a range of equally bangin' collabs to further spread their unholy influence. Ranging from collabs with fellow skate brands like Dungeon x Lovenskate, artists like Pierre Pauselli in the Dungeon x Fun is Dead collab and even local food spots like Newcastle-based bagel shop, King Baby; Dungeon Gateway have made more infernal pacts than Lucifer himself.

That's enough chit-chat though. Head to the shop to browse the full range of Dungeon Gateway clothing and buy now from CSC. Or, find out more about the latest skate product on the CSC Blog. Safe.
