We all know James Davies as that kid who wears sunglasses and has braces and rips the plaza as in the footage below:
But these days James Davies is also a syrup voiced crooner and he will be singing beautiful melodies in The Coal Exchange on Sunday because he’s in the Live and Unsigned regional finals.
He had a shot at it last year, but the judges said:
James Davies – Good cover and good vocal tone, but really needs to work on an image! Vocal occasionally wavered in places, so could build strength slightly, but overall very good
CSC called Simon Cowell to ask him for any advice he had for James:
“James, you’ve got real potential and if you work really hard you could be the next Matt Cardle. However, by ignoring your image, you’re ignoring the audience who put you there. So it has got to change.
I spoke to Sinitta and we both agree that you need to pull your trousers up to your neck, slip on a black turtle neck, and give yourself a nailbrush buzz-cut. Either that or wear a CSC tee.”
Did you hear that James? CSC tee = Win.
Click the pic below to see James singing with ‘The Broadcasts’ in a Boneless Kid video production. Oh yeah, and head to The Coal Exchange on Sunday if you wanna support him!
…still haven’t got internet in my new house, still waiting for my new baby, still not got time to update CSC, still not loving police…
BUT
I am loving this. Barca trip report from the Southport, Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff blog that namechecks three of the greatest cities in the UK…and Southport. Ok to be fair I have never been to Southport so it’s probably aaaaaaaaaaawwwwesome but who knows.
Check the Ali photos…DOPE!
Southport Liverpool Leeds Cardiff blog is right here
If you weren’t at Dykey’s flat for his birthday party you won’t have seen Pirate Man’s awesome ‘Happy Birthday Dykey’ edit. THIS IS YOUR CHANCE!
Enjoy.
Godmachine, designer of the OG CSC tees and all-round tidy fella, has just dropped a massive stash of tees at Inter-Aid on Crwys Road to make up for stock lost in a recent break-in.
Get down there now to pick up quality metal tinged apparel for peanuts…and give to charity at the same time!
Inter-aid on Crwys rd
Go visit Phil Morgan illustration and buy something or get your parents to order you something for Christmas. Every penny spent goes towards keeping Phil in beer and food and making more stuff like this happen!
I have just started a new job and as a result I am no longer able to spend the best part of the day lurking the Sidewalk forum and posting on Facebook. This has obviously had a knock-on effect on CSC…and for that I apologise.
However, it couldn’t escape my attention that Conor had uploaded his part from Realise. He says its the only standalone section he has on his computer and that the others will follow soon…compromise, or shameless self promotion? Haha…only kidding.
Sick section…lots of local NBDs at spots that are hard to skate. CSC is proud to feature Conor Charleson.
…one where you can sit down and watch skate vids on a rainy day. One where you can see art and products from all the local companies and artists. One where you can buy CSC stickers and where they don’t mind if you eat a meatball marinara Subway before fingering all the white tees.
One that’s a bit like City Surf, but like a more modern, more ‘hip’ version of City Surf…
These shirts are strictly GANGSTERS ONLY but even YOU aren’t gangster enough to get a black one like Jereme Rogers. WHAT’S GOOD JEREME! CAN’T WAIT FOR YOUR HALLOWEEN VIDEO!
Designed by Cardiff artist Phil Morgan these tees look super fresh in person…massive print on Gildan Ultra tees. A chance to buy stuff from Phil before he blows up and becomes an international superstar of the art world like Godmachine who did the original CSC tees way back in 2007. Tees are available in white only through Phil’s new website…£20 gets one shipped to your door (if you can find Phil he’ll do you one cheaper in person!).
