A land so sodden it’s fit for snails.
Wales, Wales, wet old Wales,
Green damp hills and muddy old trails.
Wales, Wales, wet old Wales,
Where skateboard missions are drowned and fail.

If you weren’t at Dykey’s flat for his birthday party you won’t have seen Pirate Man’s awesome ‘Happy Birthday Dykey’ edit. THIS IS YOUR CHANCE!
Enjoy.
Go visit Phil Morgan illustration and buy something or get your parents to order you something for Christmas. Every penny spent goes towards keeping Phil in beer and food and making more stuff like this happen!
I have just started a new job and as a result I am no longer able to spend the best part of the day lurking the Sidewalk forum and posting on Facebook. This has obviously had a knock-on effect on CSC…and for that I apologise.
However, it couldn’t escape my attention that Conor had uploaded his part from Realise. He says its the only standalone section he has on his computer and that the others will follow soon…compromise, or shameless self promotion? Haha…only kidding.
Sick section…lots of local NBDs at spots that are hard to skate. CSC is proud to feature Conor Charleson.
…I guess it’s wise not to say who built it in case THE MAN decides that proactive transformation of decaying urban areas into playgrounds for wheeled artistes of the skate persuasion is a BAD thing. Which you know they will..because THE MAN DON’T GIVE A F**K ABOUT ANYBODY ELSE.
Anyway, thanks to the anonymous benefactors. Make sure you are reasonably respectful when skating this place and beware the attentions of the locals at the pub opposite.
Enjoy the edit and, hey, you know…maybe BUY A T-SHIRT
So…this is the latest video from Jack Isaac…and I’m gonna come straight out and say it…
I was expecting an in-depth documentary detailing the subtle differences in motivation and the desire for self expression that drive young men and women to engage in this wonderful pastime. I got none of that.
This video is basically a bunch of friends skateboarding and filming their best moments to share with the internet. It’s what skateboarding is all about these days. Anyway, you’ll want to watch the friends section because if you skate in Cardiff you’re probably in it. It captures some of the better moments of the Summer when it wasn’t pissing down. You’ll also want to watch James Davies ollie big stuff, Boneless Kid deliver all the foot down goodness you’d expect from him and Jamie Isaac do some pretty smooth mini ramp tech. HEY I’M NOT SAYING YOU DON’T WANT TO WATCH THE OTHER JACKS AND JAMIES I’M JUST SAYING THOSE JACKS AND JAMIES WERE SICK.
Check it out.
What Is The Meaning Of Skateboarding? (Friends) from Jack Isaac on Vimeo.
It was SICK.
Bakery boys James Silver and Nile Bridgeman’s section is rad. Does anyone else like Bakery as much as I do? And I’m not just talking about Gregg’s donuts and sausage rolls…I’m talking about Bakery the Cardiff skate company.
Tom Williams, Sean Barnes, Luca Zavaglia, Hywel Burke, Conor Charleson, Jon Faulkner, Ethan Watkins, Nick Jones, Tom Kirkby *cough* Bakery *cough*…everyone else were amazing too.
The other thing worth mentioning is that this video has one of the best slam sections I’ve ever seen. Classics were Conor’s horrible bottom step clipper and James Silver’s metal bar slam. Lovely stuff.
Apart from Bakery there was other cool stuff about the premiere. Like a woman falling on her face outside the pub. Like Scooch showing me his paintball bruises and being proud of his extra-curricular whipped cream based birthday shenanigans. Like Conor finally proving to the world that persistence and dedication will pay off eventually…and like seeing a whole new wave of Cardiff skateboarders ready to carry the torch.
Oh and did I mention that Bakery sent CSC HQ a t-shirt and some stickers last week? Bribery works ladies and gentlemen.

BIG PUSH PREMIERE TOMORROW NIGHT IN BUFFALO AT 8PM. This means all the STEVE KING footage amongst stuff from local heroes Caradog, Jake, Chris Jones, Taylor Oakley, Pulley, Dylan and Nicky Howells.
P.S. BAKERY
…it’s the re-premiere of ‘Realise’ TONIGHT – 7.30 onwards, Buffalo.
Should be good this time as Conor has four back-up DVDs, a copy on a laptop, and in case of emergency a selection of skateboarding poems and stories relating to his time growing up as a young buck on the streets of Penarth.
If you can’t wait until tonight for your fix of Cardiff based skateboarding check this edit from Josh Ellis and friends filmed over the course of the Summer.
That’s it for now, there’s nothing else to tell you about the world of skateboarding this week so I’ll sign off. No…wait…what’s this? My Chimpo McDoodle senses are tingling…this can mean only one thing…Welshcakes news! Let me check Facebook in case I’ve missed an update…
How could I forget. Chimpo Ring of Fire at Ferndale.
