Nearly Go Skateboarding Day 2010 – Sunday 20th june
Ok, the event list is here!
We’re going to run the events on Sunday because Monday means GCSEs or work for a lot of people. We would still encourage everyone to go for a skate on Go Skate Day, but we’re officially calling this year’s event ‘Nearly Go Skateboarding Day 2010′.
12:00/13.00 – The annual 8 set showdown
We’ll kick things off at Cardiff Bay some time between 12-1 at the same venue as last year….the Sports Cafe 8 set. Best trick wins a prize…anything NBD wins a CSC tattoo…ON YOUR FACE!
14:00 – “CSC All Day” dopest line contest
Next stop will be hotel benches, where Mr Stevie Williams himself will be judging the “CSC All Day” dopest line contest. Yes you heard correctly…STEVIE WILLIAMS WILL BE THERE!
Extra points for swizz krizzaz, hardflips, and baggy jeans. Get yr tech on son and win mo’ prizes!
15:00 – Monumental wallride contest
After that, we’ll be upping the gnar factor by heading over to the Train Station monument for the best wallride contest. Anyone entering this had better be prepared to work hard for the win, it’s not easy to skate at all!
17:00 – Cannonball Skate Challenge
After a short break for food/beer/massage we’ll be meeting at the top of Queen Street for this year’s epic skate marathon. Starting at the top of Queen Street, you have to race all the way down, across the Hayes, and through the big chrome hoop. First through the hoop wins the prize! Don’t burn out too early!
17:30 – To be decided
Depending on how many prizes we’ve got left and what the weather’s like, we’ll decide what to do next. Will more than likely end up at Bute Square…but who knows?
Ok, that’s your lot. Remember to tell everyone you know to make this event as great as the ones in previous years. It should be a classic! Let’s skate!!
