Having passed the site for our new skatepark on the barrage this morning (wednesday) I can assure you all work has begun.
On-site the grand total of 1 workman, 1 portaloo, 1 storage unit and some rocks painted yellow.
Every project must start somewhere……….. more upates to follow.

Don’t forget there should be some kind of earthen/gravel bund around some of the site, but with most of the features being quite low it will be less of a problem than if we had a more traditional park design, i.e flat banks and quarters going back and fro in the same direction.

There might be something that can be done to break the wind a little. I have no idea what though. If it’s a major issue, I’m sure it can be sorted.
Also, please remember all comments on CSC are unmoderated and it’s easy to pretend to be someone else…so don’t get too angry with each other

coastlines are often windy! there are skateparks all over the world right next to the beach. Some days it’ll be a little too windy to skate there properly the same as it’s sometimes too windy to have a good skate at bute or norweigan church.
It rains a lot in wales too but skateboarders are adaptable, it’ll be ok
